First Aid Courses

The following is a list of agencies on the Department of Public Health's list of approved First Aid Courses. Currently the Department of Public Health accepts curriculum from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, Medic First Aid, and National Safety Council. All courses must be a minimum of six (6) hours in length. It is required that all licensed Family Day Care Providers be certified in First Aid. Child Care Centers and Group Day Care Homes must have present at all times at least one staff member that is first aid and CPR certified.
