First Aid Courses

The following is a list of instructors/agencies that report offering First Aid course of emergency treatment that has been approved by the department as listed in section 19a-79-4a(e) of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies. All courses must be a minimum of six (6) hours in length. It is required that all licensed Family Day Care Providers be certified in First Aid. Child Care Centers and Group Day Care Homes must have present at all times at least one staff member that is First aid and CPR certified.

Please note: The instructors/agencies offering First Aid courses must have submitted documentation to the Department of Public Health for approval of their curriculum to offer the First Aid courses to child care providers. The instructors/agencies below have reported that they meet the regulations. It is the responsibility of the child care program to verify with the course instructor/agency that the course you sign up for is appropriate for the children within your program.
