CPR Courses

The following is a list of agencies that offer a CPR course that meets the
approval of the Department of Public Health. Currently the Department of Public Health accepts curriculum from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, Medic First Aid, and National Safety Council. The American Red Cross certification is valid for one (1) year. The
American Heart Association certification is valid for two (2) years. All
licensed child care centers shall have at least on (1) staff member present at
all times who has current certification in CPR. For child care centers licensed
after January 1, 2003 this requirement shall become effective immediately. Child
care centers licensed prior to January 1, 2003 must meet this requirement by
January 1, 2004.
